We may be at the tail-end of 2021, but Chery Auto Philippines just revealed the all-new model before we say goodbye to another year.

After releasing teaser photos earlier this week, the 2022 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro has officially arrived in the Philippines.

Starting with its looks, the Tiggo 2 Pro looks sportier and more sophisticated compared to the regular model. Borrowing inspiration from the Tiggo 7 Pro, the crossover gets a bold diamond galaxy front grille that gives it a snazzier appearance. In addition, it gets a new two-tier headlight design. Here, the top portion houses the LED daytime running lights, while the bottom section gets the halogen projector headlights.

Changes were also made to the Tiggo 2 Pro’s rear. The taillights now have a smoked finish, while the bumper has been redesigned with faux exhaust finishers. There’s also a new centrally-mounted rear foglight that aids in improved nighttime visibility. Last but not least, the crossover rolls on 16-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

In terms of size, the 2022 Tiggo 2 pro measures 4200mm long, 1760mm wide, and 1570mm tall.

Just like the exterior, Chery also made several changes inside the crossover. It gets a new instrument panel that replaces the sporty design from its predecessor, a flat-bottom steering wheel with updated media controls, a revised center console and climate control panel, and updated trim and accents.

Front and center is a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It supports AM/FM radio, USB, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, and QD Link for Android devices. Other features present include an engine start/stop button, a reverse camera, remote engine start, split-folding 60:40 rear seats, a 420-liter trunk space, and an electronic parking brake.

Under the hood, the Tiggo 2 Pro gets a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder engine. It makes 108 PS along with 145 Nm of torque. Gone is the four-speed automatic as it now comes with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) with 9 simulated gear ratios.

Safety features include anti-lock brakes with electronic brakeforce distribution, brake assist, hill-start assist, electronic stability control, traction control, and dual front airbags.

Available colors for the 2022 Tiggo 2 Pro are Beige, Gray, Orange, Red, and White.

The 2022 Chery Tiggo 2 Pro is now available with a special introductory price of PHP 818,000 that is good until December 31, 2021. Afterward, the price of the Tiggo 2 Pro will start at PHP 838,000.
